If you’re looking for a hens party that’s relaxed, creative and something a little different, our Ceramic Painting Workshop is the perfect way to bring everyone together.

There’s something special about sitting around a table with your favourite people, enjoying a few drinks, chatting away and creating something you’ll actually use long after the hens weekend is over. Whether you’re planning a wholesome celebration, kicking off the weekend before the cocktails start flowing, or simply looking for an activity that everyone can enjoy, ceramic painting is always a crowd favourite.

It’s also a fantastic option when you’ve got a mix of ages in the group. Brides, bridesmaids, mums, aunties and grandmas can all join in, making it a beautiful way for everyone to spend quality time together without anyone feeling left out.

During the workshop, each guest chooses their own ceramic piece to paint, with options starting from $45. Choose from mugs, coffee cups, dessert plates, vases, planters, serving platters, trinket boxes, teapots, dog bowls, figurines and plenty more. If you spot something you love on the day, you’re welcome to upgrade your piece too.

Our experienced instructors will guide you through the process using professional underglaze techniques, but absolutely no experience is needed. Whether you’re naturally artistic or haven’t picked up a paintbrush since school, this workshop is designed to be easy, fun and completely beginner-friendly.

Everything is supplied, including brushes, paints, glazes and aprons. Once you’ve finished your masterpiece, your ceramic piece will be professionally glazed and kiln-fired before being ready to collect approximately 2–3 weeks later. It’s a beautiful keepsake from the weekend or a thoughtful piece you’ll actually use at home.

The workshop runs for around 2.5 hours in a relaxed BYO studio, so you’re welcome to bring along champagne, wine, cocktails or your favourite drinks to enjoy while you paint. Glassware, ice buckets and utensils are all provided, making it easy to settle in and enjoy a fun afternoon with the girls.
